So far so good. There are really brushless motor. Some kind of speed regulation plate, secured in compound. Bottom bearing lays in plastic bed, hard to say how long it will serve and be without movements.

Fakita products are getting better and better every year. This grinder works great and people at work didn't even realize they weren't using a genuine Makita grinder until they saw the branding I added. Would recommend 10/10.
